About Me:

I’m Ojas, a junior in high school. I created this website because I believe every extinction story deserves to be told. Since the beginning of the 21st century, thousands of species have quietly disappeared from our planet, most without ever being noticed. When I learned how quickly we are losing animals, plants, and entire ecosystems, I felt compelled to share their stories so others could understand what’s at stake.

This site is more than a list of names. It’s a way to remember the species we’ve lost, to explore the causes behind these extinctions, and to reflect on what they mean for our future. Each animal here had a role in its ecosystem, and each disappearance reminds us that our choices: deforestation, pollution, climate change and overhunting ripple far beyond what we see.

I’m not a scientist, I’m a student who cares deeply about wildlife. I believe awareness is the first step toward change, and by learning together, we can inspire action to protect the species still with us. My hope is that when you leave this site, you not only know their stories, but also feel empowered to protect the incredible diversity of life we still share the planet with.
